Rare is the opportunity to participate in a community project that occurs at the right time and at the right place.That opportunity is now: Arlington Veterans Park Foundation’s memorial at Veterans Park in Arlington.

Great Southwest Rotary authorized the Foundation to develop a memorial recognizing our veterans, their families, and special recognition for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The logical location was Arlington’s Veterans Park. Project planning was done by Schrickle, Rollins and Associates, noted Landscape Architects. Approval and valuable assistance by the City was forthcoming and construction of the first phase is imminent.

To date, Great Southwest Rotary has conducted the planning and fund raising. It is now time to complete the transition to a united effort of concerned and involved Rotarians, civic leaders, citizens, businesses and Service Clubs to complete the long delayed recognition of our veterans.

The concept is correct, the place is appropriate and the time is right.
